Old friends are the best friends!

One of the many things that I love about Facebook is being able to connect with old friends on a regular basis. I remember recently reading or hearing someone say that our children will never completely lose touch with anyone, whereas many people my age have just reconnected with people using social media…

This past year, I have been able to visit some of my oldest friends (from 2nd grade!) and then also connect with old boyfriends (fun to see if they have aged as much as I have!) and catch up with high school chums. However, it has been really great to stay connected with former work colleagues. I have found that sometimes when you leave a job, you lose touch with people because what you had in common is no longer in-common! But social media allows you keep tabs and stay connected, however much or little you want.

My friend Sharon Grech and I however, always had a special relationship. We travelled together (ALOT), saw Ground Zero together, went overseas together, shared pregnancies, marriages, break-ups, hook-ups (!) and many other things. As well as a passion for colour and design. She fought to help me along with my time at Cityline, and always worked tirelessly to include me in projects in our Toronto office. That is the thing I miss most about my times at Benjamin Moore….working with Sharon.
